Meet your match in the real world
Can an object tell something about a stranger and nudge people to interact in a public space?
The Matching Bench explores ways to better fuse online dating with the physical world to re-establish the contingency and serendipity of meeting a stranger.
It uses personal online data from social networks to analyze your compatibility with the person sitting next to you. It is connected to surrounding objects, which give cues and suggestions to initiate and maintain a conversation.
For this one-day project at the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design, I co-developed the concept, made the storyboard, directed and edited the video.
